Crohn's and Colitis Walk 2013

This post is a bit of a personal one. Two or three years ago I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, this is where a person's immune system attacks their gastrointestinal tract which leads to very painful stomach aches. This post is not a sob story or for sympathy but to raise awareness. Before I was diagnosed I had never heard of it and I now realise many other people haven't either so its important to raise awareness.

There is no known reason as to why people develop Crohn's Disease which is why research into this is so important. This leads me on to the Crohn's and Colitis walk 2013. I took part in the 3 mile walk in London last year and it turned out to be a great day! The weather was amazing and the atmosphere was great. But the main thing, people were asking me what the walk was about and I was able to explain and raise awareness (goal achieved)!

SO, since I enjoyed it so much last year I will hopefully be taking part this year on the 22nd June at Victoria embankment. Its a great day out and if you see a bunch of people walking around London in red t-shirts that's us :)

Splash Of Colour

Hi Guys :)

So, colour... something I'm scared of. Put me in black grey or white and ill be happy! But its time for me to try something new and oddly my new obsession is LIME. I have brought all four of these items recently and I would really appreciate it if summer could hurry up so I could wear/use them! I definitely think adding a splash of bright colour to your outfit is a must do during spring/summer. I will definitely be sporting these flats with a white tee and some jeans. Simple ;)

Sweet Dreams

Happy Monday!

After travelling home from London on Sundays my evening normally involves eating a lovely home cooked meal and burning a candle. Heaven! However I have now added a new part to my Sunday evening routine. writing..

The other day I treated myself to this lovely journal from Waterstones (yes I see getting stationary as a treat) and decided I start writing things down. I'm the type of person who tends to keep things bottled up and I get stressed easily so why not write things down and let it all out? I've written three entrees so far and have already experienced the benefits, It gives me a better and clearer perspective on things. Although I have tried to keep diaries/journals in the past and it didn't last long I hope I keep this one up!

Now onto my favourite part! CANDLES. I must be honest I have only recently been obsessed with candles and cant believe I never used to be interested in these! The only time I can burn candles is at home because I'm not allowed to in my flat at uni. I brought this Lily Flame candle from John Lewis the other day the small tin costs £8.50 (Get Here). This candle smells lovely and is made to give you a good nights sleep and it definitely worked for me! Love it.

I know its Monday but I'm waiting for the weekend already!

Dungarees: Take 1

Dungarees, shirt & shoes All - ASOS
Sunglasses - Topshop

I'm Back! I feel like I haven't posted anything in ages and for a new blogger I guess that isn't good! However, I've been having a rubbish time recently but I'm back and ready to blog again :)

First off, I have to be honest to cheer myself up recently all I've done is shop which isn't good but there's nothing like having a delivery waiting for you. To make matters worse I recently signed up to the ASOS premium service which is unlimited next day delivery for a year for just £9.95, What a bargain! Unfortunately this led to me ordering a few bits WHOOPS.

Anyway onto my outfit, I love love love this dungarees it's easy to wear and I feel this will go with so many different things, hence this post being called Take 1, as I hope to post a few more style ideas with this dungarees. I definitely feel I will get a lot of wear out of this. There is a similar dungarees in river island which I had my eye on but I think the dungarees from ASOS is more casual which I like. I've wanted the Chelsea boots I'm wearing for a while but due to being a student couldn't bring myself to buy them, I eventually had to give in. I've had a few compliments on how nice they are so no regrets where they are concerned! Oh and I like the shirt too :)
